One meeting. Many connected ideas.
MicroTAS 2010 took place at Martiniplaza in Groningen from 3 to 7 October 2010. Its conference chair was Professor Sabeth Verpoorte of the University of Groningen. The surviving society archive records a programme spanning microfluidics, fabrication, detection, synthesis and life-science applications.
The conference topics show how closely these fields were linked: cell handling sat alongside flow chemistry, while optical and electrochemical detection connected device engineering with measurement.
A new chapter for this domain.
Molecules in Context: Research, Observation, Technology, Applications & Society — 10 Perspectives is now an independent chemistry knowledge publication. Our present-day articles are original explanations. This historical section records the earlier conference and helps visitors arriving through old links find their context.
We are not the conference organizer and do not offer conference registration, awards, accommodation or exhibitor services. Historical records link to the society’s surviving 2010 archive for original material. Older PDF addresses on this domain now redirect to the homepage.
Small channels remain a useful place to ask large questions. Start with microfluidics, then see how a 2026 colon-chip study carries the idea into a new experiment.
